REALLY AFFORDABLE! Wildlife Safari, Blue Train, Pretoria and Cape Town
Get to stay 3 nights at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve / Jock Safari Lodge / Nkomazi Game Reserve / Jaci’s Lodges and receive 3 FREE nights at The Last Word Constantia plus book 1 night on Blue Train in a deluxe suite & receive 1 complimentary night at Sheraton Pretoria Hotel.
Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is home to the only free-range white lions in South Africa. The historic predator release means that for the first time in over 200 years, lion and cheetah can once again be seen in the Klein Karoo, making Sanbona the first private game reserve in the Western Cape to play host to free-roaming big cats.
At the foot of the Warmwaterberg, in the heart of the Little Karoo, between Montagu and Barrydale on the famous Route 62, 54 000 hectares of undulating mountains and plains, indigenous fauna and flora, rock formations and rock art make this a destination not to be missed. Specialist guiding is a key element in providing a memorable and varied experience.
Jock Safari Lodge is the first private lodge set in the heart of Africa's premier wildlife reserve - Jock of the Bushveld Concession Area in the Kruger National Park. Situated in the southern area of the Kruger National Park at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers, Jock Safari Lodge offers stunning views with the pool on the confluence.
Jock Safari Lodge incorporates elements of the colonial past and indigenous Zulu and Shangaan cultures. Jock Safari Lodge has exclusive traversing rights in an area that is regarded as one of the best in the Kruger National Park for its Big Five sightings.
Set in the incredibly picturesque scenery of the Barberton Mountainland, Nkomazi Game Reserve lies in the malaria-free parts of Mpumalanga closest to Barberton, the Kruger National Park, Pilgrims Rest and such wonders as the Blyde River Canyon and God's Window. Nkomazi, which means 'place of water' is set in the area also known as the 'holy grail of geology' for its wealth of ancient fossils – some of the oldest in the world. Its position in the Barberton Mountainland lays claims to a plant biodiversity higher than that of the entire Kruger National Park and second only to the Cape's fynbos and succulents. Nkomazi has been restored to a wildlife haven. Here, where great natural beauty and the 3.7 billion years of history meet, the Nkomazi conservation project has celebrated the return of wild animals to a region where they can once again roam in great abundance.
Jaci’s two exceptional, privately owned lodges will exceed all your safari expectations. Situated in the Malaria Free Madikwe Game Reserve boasting 75,000 hectares of "Big 5 territory.' This is the land of classical safari!!
Among the endless plains of the magnificent Serengeti and the breathtaking scenery of the Ngorongoro Crater, track the chimpanzees in the beautiful Mahale Mountains National Park, and sail on a romantic dhow at sunset on Lake Tanganyika.
Spend 3 nights at Klein’s Camp or Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp or Serengeti Under Canvas, 2 nights at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, 1 night at Arusha Coffee Lodge and 4 nights at Greystoke Mahale, and pay less.
This has come to symbolize paradise to many of us. The Maasai, who had grazed their cattle on the vast grassy plains for millennia had always thought so. To them it was Siringitu - "the place where the land moves on forever."
Two World Heritage Sites and two Biosphere Reserves have been established within the 30,000 km² region. It's unique ecosystem has inspired writers from Ernest Hemingway to Peter Mattheissen, filmakers like Hugo von Lawick and Alan Root as well as numerous photographers and scientists. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves.
World renowned as a place of absolute wonder, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is dramatically beautiful, and often referred at the 8th world wonder of the world. Perched at the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania, this exclusive luxury lodge enjoys spectacular views of the World Heritage Site in which it stands. Here, mankind lives in almost absolute harmony with the incredible wildlife that inhabits the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
There are few places left on earth that might rightfully be called Eden, and the Mahale Mountains is one of them. The mountains soar to 8,000 feet above the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika, which at 420 miles long and 30 miles wide, is a veritable inland sea. The nearest road is almost 100kms away, and that is the most minor of tracks. The slopes of the Mahale Mountains rise behind camp, home to the world's largest known population of chimpanzees. Within hiking distance is one such group of 60. Every day you can venture out into this deep and magical forest to observe them, our closest relatives, as they groom, wrestle and forage across the leafy floor.
Saving from USD 800 per person sharing
This offer is applicable to bookings that are booked and confirmed before 31 January, valid for travel till 15 December 2011
